We won the coveted Best Texas Style award at the 21st Texas Furniture Makers Show for our matching pair of Mesquite lamps. The Twin Sisters honor the legendary cannons of the same name that fired the opening salvo at the Battle of San Jacinto. These one-of-a-kind heirloom quality luminaires were produced with meticulous attention to detail using the finest components available to create stunning works of functional art suitable for any setting. The juried exhibition is a statewide competition featuring handcrafted pieces and is sponsored by the Kerr Arts & Cultural Center in Kerrville, Texas. Only 50 to 60 pieces are chosen for exhibition each year from numerous entries. The purpose of the show is to present the work of Texas Furniture Makers to the public in a formal gallery setting and bring national attention to their one-of-a-kind handmade works of art.
This year’s expert panel of judges included renowned furniture designer/makers Mark Levin, Danny Kamerath, and Andy Rawls.
