This Craftsman style clock is handmade from a quarter sawn plank of American White Oak which exhibits remarkable medullary ray fleck.
It has a German movement, pewter bezel and domed glass face.
The finish is a modern alternative to the ammonia fuming preferred by furniture makers during the Arts & Craft movement. It is a nine step process utilizing dyes, gel stain, and tung oil, all applied by hand, to produce the same even tone and low satin sheen as the original furniture.
