We were brought in by another firm to build a Black Walnut conference table for a commercial entity in downtown Houston.
The most interesting feature is a bullet that was embedded in the tree at some point in its lifetime. It was revealed by the sawyer and we preserved it as part of the table top.
The Walnut sits on a custom 1/2" steel base that has been professionally powder coated for longevity. The wood finish is multiple coats of a German two-part oil to enhance and protect the natural beauty of the wood.
